    Simply Sync Password

    password not sync

    While evaluate the simply sync password. i had created two dc with two different domains. Account sync are ok on both dc. only the password not sync. i had enable the debug log and found that:

    attribute [whenCreated] value is [18/12/2015 9:59:36] but doesn't have permission for update

    I had followed the installation guide create a syncserveruser (granted domain administrator) use for services startup and server agent. please let me know if i missed something. Thanks.

    Please check the following.

    check point
    1. Did they reboot source DC after PWSync Client installation
    2. What would they see if they try to test mapping test on PWSync Client
    If you have an issue at this step, please check the following
    a. Server ID and PW is correct? Both are case-sensitive.
    b. PWSync Client and PWSync Server clock synced to world clock. This time gap should be under 5 minutes.
    c. Server ID is not locked on target domain.

    3. Could you ask them to enable debug mode and reset password of test user. Check if any log files are created under C:/Program Files/GoodWorks Communications/Simply Sync Password Client v3.6/log ?
    a. Step to enable debug mode
    * Open registry edit
    * Locate on Computer/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/GoodWorks/PWSync
    * Change Debug entry value to 1
    * If Debug entry does not exist, create Debug as String value and set value to 1.

    4. Please post log here.

    Attached the screenshot for mapping and debug log.

    Also let me explain more details for my testing environment:
    1. two DC created. (test01.local and test02.local). test01.local dc install sync server, test02.local install sync agent.
    2. create a user syncserveruser in test01.local and enable port 8911
    3. test02.local use "syncserveruser" connect to test01.local
    4. create a account "test3" in test02.local
    5. use "User sync management" sync the test3 to domain test01.local
    6. account was successful created in test01.local but password not sync

    [2015-12-23 12-04-54][update] test3's attribute[displayName] value is [test3] but doesn't have permission for update
    [2015-12-23 12-04-54][update] test3's attribute[sAMAccountName] does not have mapping target value for sync'ing
    [2015-12-23 12-04-54][update] test3's attribute[adminDescription] does not have mapping target value for sync'ing
    [2015-12-23 12-04-54][update] test3's attribute[distinguishedName] value is [CN=test3,OU=SimplySync,OU=Domain Controllers,DC=test02,DC=local] but doesn't have permission for update
    [2015-12-23 12-04-54][update] test3's attribute[whenCreated] value is [18/12/2015 8:00:35] but doesn't have permission for update
    [2015-12-23 12-04-54][update] test3's attribute[cn] does not have mapping target value for sync'ing
    [2015-12-23 12-04-54][update] test3's attribute[PrincipalDomain] value is [test01.local] sync'ing to [PrincipalDomain]
    [2015-12-23 12-04-54][update] ID[test3] has been assigned to [sAMAccountName]

    It looks working properly.
    Manual sync will sync properties but not password.
    Password will be sync'ed when user reset password.

    please reset password source user for password sync'ing test.
    (You need to restart source DC after you install simply sync client)

    please check if trial license key is registered in Simply Sync Client.
    if not, please find it in installation folder and register it.

    If the issue persists, please send me simply sync client log after you reset test user's password.

    Checked trial key was found and attached are the server and client log

    May i clarify my installation steps are correct? Because I have a little bit confuse while study the installation guide.

    Source AD Server(test02.local) install sync client. Target AD Server(test01.local) install sync Server. I want to sync test02.local AD account and password to test01.local domain
